Here’s how this is going to go down:
- You submit a sentence to the Xtreme Author Challenge.
- Esther gets those sentences–Frog does not repeat not get to even look at them until the fated day.
- At the event, Frog will sit before a typewriter.
- Yes, I said a typewriter.
- Esther will randomly select one of those sentences from inside Frog’s Bowler.
- Frog must then compose a short story on that typewriter while being publicly available to sign books.
- As each page of paper comes off the typewriter, it shall be posted. Not to the internet–physically posted in front of him at the venue.
- Those pages will later be scanned and made available to the appropriate level of the Impulsive Walrus Patreon.
Some basic rules:
- Sentences must be family-friendly. That is to say, we’re going to be hanging these works up in a public venue where there will be children. Esther will reject any sentence with cursing or sex before it hits the bowler.
- Submitting a sentence will also subscribe you to the Impulsive Walrus newsletter. If you choose to unsubscribe later, your sentence will still be considered. BUT you’ll miss out on all the other great updates and news that come along with the newsletter, and who wants that? Nobody.
- Was your sentence not picked at the last XAC event? Don’t worry, because we just keep the sentences in the bowler. So there’s still a chance that it’ll be picked next time Frog does battle with the typewriter.
